Kingston has retained its top spot as a DRAM module supplier in 2022. The company has defended its number one position for 20 years in a row now with a huge market share of 78.12% on $13.5 billion revenue last year – that’s a very impressive achievement.

This was revealed in a ranking released by analyst firm TrendForce. The firm also shared that DRAM module sales in 2022 actually saw a 4.6% year-on-year decline. Although Kingston’s revenue took a dip as a result – from $14.2 billion (2021) to $13.5 billion (2022) – the company notes that it still holds on to the top spot; with a wide margin at that.

It’s no surprise that Kingston can maintain its top position in the market, given just how popular its line of products are. These include Kingston’s Fury Beast and Renegade line of DDR5 memory modules, which received a revamp last year with the introduction of white heat spreaders. Perfect for consumers who want to build an all-white desktop setup.

“The 2022 findings from TrendForce reflect the company’s ongoing expansion and adaptability in the face of yet another demanding business year,” said Kingston. “This milestone not only reaffirms Kingston’s dominant presence in the market but also underscores the company’s resilience and significance within the industry, as we now proudly maintain our top position for the 20th consecutive year,” the company added.
