Here is yet another set of leaked images of the Proton S70! This time around, we get a cleaner, more detailed look at the front end of the upcoming Proton sedan. Looking at the lack of an ADAS camera on the windscreen, there’s a good chance this is the base Executive model of the S70.
This set of images was posted by Facebook user Na Zehan in the Malaysia S50/S70 Community Facebook group and subsequently shared by Funtasticko. The sedan looks to be finished in Proton’s Armour Silver paint, and we can see the new Infinite Weave grille and what appears to be LED projector headlights – not bad at all if this is indeed the base model of the sedan.

Based on previous rumours, four different variants of the S70 will supposedly be offered. All of them are said to be powered by either a 1.5L MPI turbo engine (150PS/226Nm) or a more powerful 1.5L TGDi turbo mill (177PS/255Nm); two turbocharged engines that are found in the X50 lineup. The sedan is rumoured to be sporting a large 12.3-inch full LCD meter as well.
The Proton S70 is largely believed – and kind of confirmed by Proton’s own CEO – to be launched sometime in November 2023 next month. We’ll find out then the pricing and final name of the highly anticipated sedan, which has been previously referred to as the S50.
