Lenovo Legion Go Malaysian Pre-Orders Open From RM3,099
October 23, 2023 Andrew Cheng

The Lenovo Legion Go, a competitor to the Asus ROG Ally and Valve’s Steam Deck, looks to be available for pre-order in Malaysia already. Not surprisingly, the handheld gaming PC shares similar hardware as Asus’ offering, though it does have some unique features, including detachable controllers.

First spotted by Amanz, the Legion Go is offered in two variants for the Malaysian market. The base model features an AMD Ryzen Z1 chip for RM3,099, while the more powerful Ryzen Z1 Extreme configuration retails at RM3,399.

Beyond the different chips, both variants of the Legion Go feature the same hardware. These include a sharp 8.8-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, along with a 49.2Wh battery. It’s worth noting that this is a more generous capacity than the 40Wh battery of Asus’ Ally.

Aside from that, there’s also the detachable “Legion TrueStrike” controllers of the Legion Go, which is similar to the Nintendo Switch‘s Joy-Con controllers. Once detached from the main body of the handheld PC, the right controller can be used as a mouse once it is (magnetically) attached to an included controller base. Of course, the handheld gaming PC also has a kickstand at the back to prop it up.

Naturally, the Legion Go runs on Windows 11 out of the box too.

The Lenovo Legion Go is now available for pre-order in Malaysia through Lenovo Malaysia’s online store from RM3,099. Do note that at the time of writing, the handheld gaming PC is only set to start shipping within eight to 10 weeks, which is…quite a long waiting time. We have contacted Lenovo Malaysia for a more specific release timeline.
