After the Apple Watch Series 9 and 2nd generation AirPods Pro (USB-C) appeared in SIRIM’s database, the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 has also been registered with the certification body just today on 10 October. Chances are, these three Apple products will be available in Malaysia very, very soon.

Just like the Series 9, the rugged Apple Watch Ultra 2 is now powered by the S9 chip, along with an even brighter display and support for the new double tap gesture. The latter allows users to control the primary button in any given app with just a double tap of the index finger and thumb, which is quite neat.

Another noteworthy upgrade to the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a brighter screen. With a peak brightness of a whopping 3,000 nits – which is said to be 50% brighter than its predecessor’s panel – Apple says this is the brightest display ever on an Apple Watch.

Despite the upgrades that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 bring, its asking price for the Malaysian market remains the same at RM3,799. Now that the smartwatch has been certified by SIRIM already, we reckon the Watch Ultra 2 will be available in Malaysia in the very near future.
