Surprise surprise, there is now a more affordable Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, and it is coming to Malaysia. Despite its lower asking price, the S23 FE retains the series’ design language, though it does have a more modest list of hardware compared to the main S23 devices.
For the Malaysian market, two variants of the Galaxy S23 FE are offered. The base 128GB model is priced at RM2,999, while the more generous 256GB variant goes for RM3,299. Four colour options are available on our shores: Mint, Cream, Graphite, and Purple.
Depending on the region, the Galaxy S23 FE is offered with either a Samsung Exynos 2200 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. A quick check on Samsung Malaysia’s website shows that its CPU clusters are clocked at 2.8GHz, 2.5GHz, and 1.8GHz. These match the clock speeds of the Exynos 2200, so it looks like Malaysia gets the Exynos version.
Other specifications of the S23 FE include a 6.4-inch 2340 x 1080 Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 8MP telephoto), a 10MP selfie camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will be available for purchase in Malaysia starting at RM2,999 from 10 October onwards. Aside from the phone, the new Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Buds FE will also be launched at the same time next week – they start at RM2,099 and RM399 respectively.
