Besides the Apple Watch Series 9, the 2nd generation AirPods Pro with an updated USB-C charging case has also been certified by SIRIM. Chances are, the new wireless earbuds will be available in Malaysia very soon.

The new AirPods Pro was registered with SIRIM just today on 3 October. Carrying the model numbers A3048 and A3047, these are confirmed to be the individual earbuds of the new AirPods Pro. The new USB-C charging case (A2968) has also been certified by SIRIM on 27 September last week.

Beyond the new USB-C charging case, the AirPods Pro has also been updated with an IP54 rating, an upgrade from the previous Lightning model’s IPX4 rating. Other specifications of the wireless earbuds remain the same, including the H2 chip for “up to double the noise-cancelling power” of the original AirPods Pro, along with a total of up to six hours of use with ANC activated.

Naturally, the 2nd generation AirPods Pro with the new USB-C charging case retains the RM1,099 price tag in Malaysia. Now that it has been certified by SIRIM, it should be available for purchase on our shores in the very near future.
