There’s a new affordable phone from Realme for the Malaysian market. The Realme C51, beyond its budget-friendly price tag, also has a rather intriguing “Mini Capsule” notch that looks to mimic Apple’s Dynamic Island.

Here in Malaysia, only one variant of the C51 is offered. Sporting 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the phone retails at only RM549. Two colours are offered (Mint Green and Carbon Black), and early birds who purchase the phone by 8 October can get it for RM529 – that’s a RM20 discount.

The Mini Capsule notch of the C51 is certainly its highlight feature, though it looks to be rather limited functionality wise. According to Realme, the Mini Capsule – which will expand when activated – can show the phone’s battery status, data usage, and steps count.

Other specifications of the C51 include a 6.74-inch 1600 x 720 IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc Tiger T612 processor, a dual camera system made up of a 50MP main shooter and a depth sensor, a 5MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

The Realme C51 can now be purchased in Malaysia at its RM529 promotional price until 8 October. The budget-friendly phone is available on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, as well as Realme brand stores nationwide.
