Update 21 September, 4:10PM: Shopee is back up! After only about 20 minutes of outage, the ecommerce platform is accessible once again on both the Shopee app and its website. No statement yet from the company on what caused the outage.

It appears Shopee is not accessible right now. We’re having difficulty accessing the platform, and a quick check on its Facebook page confirms the outage. Shopee itself said that it is currently addressing the issue, though it did not specify the cause of the disruption.
The outage applies to both the Shopee app and its website. While the initial homepage does load up on a web browser, we can’t navigate to other pages on the platform. We’ll be sure to keep a close eye on the status of the ecommerce service.
