Huawei just unveiled its latest flagship smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 4. The Chinese company is putting quite a bit of emphasis on the “fashion-forward” design of the wearable, while also promising impressive battery life of up to 14 days on a single charge.
Two variants of the Watch GT 4 are offered. There’s the smaller, more elegant-looking (in our opinion) 41mm model, and the larger 46mm version. The 41mm watch is said to resemble a jewellery piece, while the 46mm variant has a “strong, sturdy exterior” with an octagonal dial design.
As mentioned, the Watch GT 4 promises up to 14 days of battery life under light usage, though this is limited to the 46mm model; the 41mm version offers up to seven days of use instead. Beyond that, both smartwatches feature a 466 x 466 circular AMOLED display, stainless steel body, a 5 ATM or IP68 rating, as well as over 25,000 different watchfaces to choose from.
According to Huawei Malaysia, the Huawei Watch GT 4 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia with a RM50 deposit, though the local pricing of the smartwatch has not been revealed yet. As a point of comparison, last year’s Huawei Watch GT 3 retailed from RM999 at launch.
