We now have the Malaysian pricing of the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max! Starting at RM5,499 and RM6,499 respectively, both iPhones see a RM200 price hike for the Malaysian market.
It’s worth noting that the RM6,499 starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is for the 256GB model; no 128GB version is offered anymore for the Pro Max model, it seems. This effectively raises the price of entry for the large premium phone.
Nonetheless, Malaysian pre-orders of the new Pro iPhones will start on 22 September, and they are set to arrive here the following week on 29 September, which is really quite fast.
Naturally, the new iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max bring a slew of upgrades to the table. These include a blazing fast A17 Pro chip, a 12MP periscope camera (for the Pro Max only) for improved zoom performance, a customisable Action button in place of the mute switch, and of course, a USB-C port with faster transfer speeds.
Built on a power-efficient 3nm process, the Apple A17 Pro is said to be the most powerful chip found in a smartphone. The performance level of the chip even allows Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 to be playable on the iPhone 15 Pro models; titles that were previously exclusive to consoles and PC.
In the camera department, the iPhone 15 Pro Max gets a new periscope telephoto lens that enables 5x optical zoom, while the iPhone 15 Pro soldiers on with a 12MP telephoto sensor that does 3x optical zoom. There’s also a new 48MP primary camera with a larger sensor for better low light performance, along with an improved 12MP ultra-wide shooter.
You can pre-order the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in Malaysia from RM5,499 and RM6,499 respectively next week on 22 September. Deliveries will begin the following week on 29 September.
