Magic: The Gathering’s latest set, Wilds of Eldraine, is set to arrive for tabletop next week on 8 September. To celebrate the arrival of the new fairy tale-like expansion, Wizards of the Coast will be holding an Open House for the set, which is essentially a Launch Party.
The Magic Open House will be held at selected Wizards Play Network (WPN) Stores in Malaysia between 8 to 10 September next week. New players can get familiarised with the card game using Wilds of Eldraine’s new Starter Kit, and all attendees will receive a Drown in the Loch promotional card. Players who bring along a friend to the Open House can get an additional Cultivate card (each) too.
As for Wilds of Eldraine itself, it introduces a number of mechanics. Roles, for example, can be used to enchant creatures to give them +1/+1 and specific keywords like trample and scry. On top of that, 20 rare and mythic Enchanting Tales cards from the set will receive an anime-themed card treatment too, which looks quite sweet.
Magic: The Gathering’s Wilds of Eldraine set will be released for tabletop on 8 September 2023. Ahead of the set’s launch, you can pre-order it from your favourite game store. Wilds of Eldraine is offered in Draft Boosters, Set Boosters, Collector Boosters, Commander Decks, Prerelease Packs, Bundles, and a Starter Kit.
