Genshin Impact Concert in Malaysia – Tickets Sold Out in 1 Hour
August 24, 2023 • Andrew Cheng

Ticketing for the Genshin Impact concert tour opened at 12PM earlier today through the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) website, and it was…tough to secure a ticket. Based on what we’ve experienced, it is likely that all tickets were sold out within an hour.

Of course, we tried to secure some tickets to the Genshin Impact concert for ourselves at 12PM sharp, and the experience was not exactly pleasant. Not only did MPO’s website crash on us a few times, there were about 2,000 buyers ahead of us in the virtual queue at one point.

Given that the seating capacity of the Petronas Philharmonic Hall is only about 920 seats, we were not optimistic.

Anyway, by the end of it, we only managed to secure one ticket for the RM388 seating at about 1PM. For context, the prices range from RM308 to RM578 for regular seats, while the more premium suite options are either RM600 or RM650 per seat.

From what we gathered, many Genshin fans were trying to get tickets to the Singapore concert too, which actually has two dates (2 and 3 October) compared to Malaysia’s single concert (7 October). Not surprisingly, even the Singaporean Genshin concert is sold out already.

Evidently, many folks are eager to attend the Genshin Impact concert tour. After all, it is Hoyoverse’s very first international offline concert series, which is set to be held worldwide between 2023 to 2024. These include here in Malaysia, Singapore, Osaka, Seoul, Los Angeles, New York, Boston, London, and many more.
