Honda WR-V: 2,200 Units Delivered, Honda Malaysia’s 2nd Best-Selling Model in July 2023
August 22, 2023 Andrew Cheng

Just a month after its official launch here, Honda Malaysia has delivered over 2,200 units of the Honda WR-V. This figure is close to the 2,500 bookings the small SUV received at launch, which were originally expected to be fulfilled within two to three months’ time.

Among the 2,200 units of the WR-V delivered to date, the range-topping RS model is the most popular option, accounting for 60% of total sales. In fact, the SUV is actually Honda Malaysia’s second best-selling model in July last month. Its sales performance is likely just behind the City, which was just facelifted a couple of weeks ago.

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our customers for their trust in the Honda brand and support for the all-new WR-V, which is a brand new model in the non-national small SUV segment,” said the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Hironobu Yoshimura. “Since its launch, the model has been well accepted in the market and achieved remarkable sales performance,” he added.

To recap, the WR-V starts at RM89,900 for the base S model. A tier up is the E trim for RM95,900, followed by the V variant at RM99,900. As for the range-topping RS model, it goes for RM107,900. These prices are on-the-road without insurance, and five colour options are available: Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and the new Stellar Diamond Pearl.

The Honda WR-V is now available for booking at all 101 authorised Honda dealerships nationwide. Alternatively, pre-booking can be done online here, or through the HondaTouch app – it can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
