Although the app has been available locally for a few weeks now, today is the official launch of the Shell Asia app in Malaysia. Basically, the app allows users to purchase fuel through the app at selected Shell stations.

At the moment, the Shell Asia app can be used at over 650 Shell stations throughout Malaysia. According to Shell, its app is the first fuel payment service in the country that is protected with a 3D Secure verification for an extra layer of security against fraud and scam threats.

A station locator is also built into the Shell Asia app. Not only can you find your nearest Shell station with the feature, you can even look for ones with specific facilities, such as ATM, surau, or even a car wash.

Naturally, the Shell Asia app has BonusLink integrated, allowing users to easily collect points. Users can also redeem Shell exclusive rewards through the app (and track their BonusLink points) for added convenience.

“Given our synonymity in innovating mobility solutions, the Shell app serves as a pivotal component to elevate experiences for all our customers at Shell,” said the GM of Mobility Malaysia, Seow Lee Ming.

The Shell Asia app is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. To recap, the app can be used at over 650 Shell stations nationwide, and it is expected to be available more widely by the end of 2023.
