CelcomDigi shared some interesting updates on its business growth in 2023 so far. According to the telco, it received over 391,000 new subscribers in the first half of 2023 while working on its network integration plan for improved network quality.

Of those figure, 185,000 subscribers got on board CelcomDigi in Q2 2023 alone. Collectively, it has over 20.48 million users now. The telco attributes this growth to its new product launches, and it is worth noting that this figure excludes Yoodo subscribers.

The telco also shared some updates on its full-speed network integration, which began in Q2 2023. 60% of its network integration and modernisation plans have been completed so far, with over 2,000 sites in 24 clusters consolidated. Once CelcomDigi’s network integration plan has been completed, it aims to deliver “the widest 4G network,” as the telco puts it.

“We are pleased to continue to deliver both topline and bottomline growth while pushing ahead with integration of our networks, IT, and organisation at the same time,” said CelcomDigi’s CEO, Datuk Idham Nawawi. “Network integration and modernisation initiatives are progressing in full speed as we continue to provide elevated network experience to our customers on the nation’s fastest, widest, and most modern 4G network,” he added.
