Neta V Sub-RM80k Pricing Not Accurate; Final Pricing in September 2023 – Intro Synergy
August 15, 2023 ā€¢ Andrew Cheng

The Neta V first made its debut at the Malaysia Autoshow 2023 back in May this year, and it was touted as the most affordable EV in Malaysia with a RM99,800 price tag. Well, recently, an image showing a RM79,800 pricing for the Neta V at a shopping mall went viral, though Intro Synergy confirmed that the pricing is actually not accurate.

Intro Synergy is the sole distributor of Neta cars in Malaysia, and the company released a statement on the viral sub-RM80,000 pricing of the Neta V. “We would like to deny the displayed price and would like to clarify that the price of Neta V will only be officially announced during the launch ceremony scheduled for next month (September),” the statement reads.

Regardless of how much it costs, the Neta V offers a range of up to 380km (following the NEDC standard) out of its 38.54kWh battery. It supports up to 100W DC fast charging too, which can juice up the battery from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. With a slower 6.6kW AC home charger, it can be charged from empty to full in 8 hours.

Performance wise, the Neta Vā€™s front-mounted electric motor outputs a modest 95PS and 160Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-50kmph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 120kmph. Safety wise, it features two airbags ā€“ yes, only two ā€“ ABS, EBD, ESC, and passive cruise control.

To recap, the final pricing of the Neta V in Malaysia will only be announced sometime next month in September 2023. As per Intro Synergy’s statement, the EV will be offered with “attractive package offers to all customers.”
