The first generation Honda City made its debut here in Malaysia back in 2002. Since then, over 423,000 units of the B-segment sedan have been sold on our shores. This comes as no surprise, of course, given that the City has consistently been Honda Malaysia’s best-selling model.
This figure was revealed by the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Hironobu Yoshimura, at the local launch of the City facelift. “The popularity of the City is undeniable. Since it was introduced in 2002, there are now more than 423,000 City on Malaysian roads,” he said.
According to Honda Malaysia, it is targeting to sell 2,400 units of the new City monthly. Five variants are still offered: S (RM84,900), E (RM89,900), V (RM94,900), RS (RM99,900, new to the range, replacing the V Sensing trim), and the range-topping e:HEV RS (RM111,900) hybrid model.
The 2023 Honda City facelift is now available for booking at all 101 authorised Honda dealerships nationwide. Alternatively, pre-booking can be done online here, or through the HondaTouch app – it can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
