Initially unveiled at CES 2023, the Acer Nitro 16 – with a new design language to boot – is finally available in Malaysia today. Configurable with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, this gaming laptop looks to offer a good level of performance for the money, which has always been a winning trait for Acer’s range of Nitro laptops.
For the Malaysian market, there are three different variants of the Nitro 16, and all of them feature AMD’s processors. The base model with a Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, an RTX 4050, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD retails at RM5,799. If you want to upgrade the GPU to an RTX 4060, it will set you back RM6,399.
As for the range-topping RTX 4070 model – which also features a faster Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, 32GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD – it is priced at RM7,999.
Beyond these hardware differences, all configurations of the Nitro 16 feature the same 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS display with a fast 165Hz refresh rate. It also has a 720p webcam, a 25.9mm thick chassis that tips the scales at 2.7kg, as well as up to 10 hours of battery life. It is also covered under a two-year warranty with the first year being international warranty.
The Acer Nitro 16 is now available for purchase in Malaysia. In conjunction with the ongoing Acer Day, every purchase of the gaming laptop by 17 August will come with freebies worth RM828, including a Predator Cestus 335 mouse, a Predator-branded backpack, as well as TNG ewallet credit worth up to RM250.
