If you’re a Malaysian earning below RM100,000 annually – and above the age of 21 – you will be eligible to receive RM100 ewallet credit from the government. This was announced by the Prime Minister (and Finance Minister) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim earlier today.

Approximately 10 million Malaysians from the B40 and M40 groups will receive the RM100 ewallet credit. According to Anwar, RM1 billion has been allocated for this initiative, though no timeline has been announced yet for the rollout.

Previously, the government gave out RM200 ewallet credit to eligible students and youths under the eBelia Rahmah programme. “Seeing the success of that ewallet credit programme, the government agrees to offer a RM100 ewallet credit to adults,” said Anwar.
