Realme’s latest premium mid-range phones have just been launched in Malaysia at a rather intriguing launch event on Redang Island. Made up of two phones, the Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+, both of them feature a unique vegan leather back designed by a former Gucci designer.
Only one variant of the 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ are available in Malaysia. The 11 Pro, packed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, is priced at RM1,499. As for the higher-end 11 Pro+, it comes with 12GB RAM and a whopping 512GB storage for RM1,999.
One of the highlights of the 11 Pro series is certainly the vegan leather back panel. Realme Design Studio collaborated with Matteo Menotto – former print and textile designer from Gucci – to work on the Sunrise Beige and Oasis Green colourways of the phones. While Realme isn’t the first brand to make use of vegan leather, I do think the back panel design is quite eye-catching.
Beyond that, the 11 Pro+ gets a pretty sophisticated triple camera system made up of a 200MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 2MP macro lens; it also has a 32MP selfie camera. As for the 11 Pro, it has a more modest dual camera setup (100MP main + 2MP depth) and a 16MP front-facing shooter.
Other specifications of the 11 Pro series include a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, and a 5,000mAh battery. It’s worth noting that the 11 Pro+ features faster 100W charging over the standard 11 Pro’s 67W rate.
The Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+ will be available for purchase in Malaysia from tomorrow onwards on 21 July. To recap, the 11 Pro retails at RM1,499, while the 11 Pro+ costs RM1,999.
