Tesla Model Y From RM199k in Malaysia – First Official Tesla Here, Early 2024 Delivery
July 14, 2023 Andrew Cheng

The Tesla Model Y is the first model from the renowned brand to be officially available here in Malaysia. Priced from RM199,000, the electric SUV can be ordered right now, though delivery is only expected to take place sometime in early 2024.

This was first spotted by Paultan.org through Tesla’s Malaysian website. The configurator for the Model Y is now live, with prices starting from the aforementioned RM199,000 for the standard RWD model. Opting for the Long Range AWD variant sees the price go up to RM246,000, and if you want the fastest Model Y Performance, it will set you back RM288,000.

Naturally, opting for the Model Y Performance comes with a suite of other upgrades. These include larger (and much sleeker) 21-inch Überturbine alloy wheels, performance brakes, lowered suspension, aluminium alloy pedals, a carbon fibre spoiler, and of course, an increased top speed from 217kmph to 250kmph.

As is the case with all Tesla models, you can purchase various add-ons for the Model Y in Malaysia. Getting the Enhanced Autopilot, for one, is a RM16,000 add-on, while the complete Full Self-Driving Capability is a RM32,000 premium. You can change the all-black interior to a black and white colour scheme too for RM5,000.

If you’re keen to get the Tesla Model Y, you can place an order right now on its Malaysian website; a RM1,000 non-refundable fee is required for the booking. Again, do note that the estimated delivery for the electric SUV in Malaysia is sometime in early 2024 next year.
