Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.2 Drops 19 July – Kafka & Blade Playable With New Areas
July 10, 2023 Andrew Cheng

Honkai: Star Rail is set to receive its Version 1.2 update on 19 July next week. Not only will three new playable characters be added to the game – these include Kafka, Blade, and Luka – the upcoming update will conclude the Xianzhou Luofu storyline too.

As previously revealed, Kafka and Blade are 5-star characters, while Luka is a 4-star unit. Blade’s banner will be offered first after the Version 1.2 update is live, accompanied by Natasha, Sushang, and Arlan. Kafka’s event warp, on the other hand, will be offered in the second phase alongside Luka, Serval, and Sampo.

The current Xianzhou Luofu story in Star Rail will also reach its climactic end in Version 1.2. It appears Imbibitor Lunae (alongside a new boss) will be making an appearance in the storyline, and two new areas, Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape, will be added too.

We’re also getting a number of new content in Star Rail 1.2. A new segment in the Forgotten Hall (The Voyage of Navis Astrige), for example, will reward players with the 4-star character Yukong by completing Stage 1. Two new relic sets (Longevous Disciple and Messenger Traversing Hackerspace) and planar ornaments (Rutilant Arena and Broken Keel) can be obtained by players as well.

The Version 1.2 update of Honkai: Star Rail will go live on 19 July next week. To recap, Blade’s event warp will be available first once the update drops, followed by Kafka’s banner alongside Luka at a later date.
