Hoyoverse is certainly building up excitement for Genshin Impact‘s new Fontaine area, which is expected to be released after the Version 3.8 update. Not only did it drop a new teaser video dubbed Overture, the developer is also teasing new characters coming to the game, including Freminent, Lynette, and Lyney.

Chances are, these characters will be playable in the next update for Genshin Impact, which is likely to be Version 4.0. After all, every character teased by Hoyoverse are usually playable in the next version update of the game, so there’s no reason the same wouldn’t apply to Freminet, Lynette, and Lyney.

Beyond the three characters, the Overture teaser video also shows off a slew of new characters that are set to be introduced in Genshin Impact. There’s Furina, Neuvillette, Wriothesley, and even “The Knave” Arlecchino, a Fatui Harbinger. It’s likely she will be an antagonist in the Fontaine storyline.

At the moment, expect Freminet, Lynette, and Lyney to be playable once Genshin Impact 4.0 is here, which should be released after the Version 3.8 update. It is dropping this Wednesday on 5 July alongside Klee’s and Kaeya’s new outfits.
