As expected, the Honda WR-V is launching in Malaysia next month! The Japanese carmaker’s first small SUV will make its debut here on 13 July, and public previews of the WR-V will take place in Klang Valley from today (30 June) to 2 July.
The first preview of the WR-V took place between 16 to 18 June in the southern region; more specifically, Seremban, Johor Bahru, and Pontian. This is followed by the northern region (23 – 25 June), the central region this weekend (30 June – 2 July), and finally, the east coast from 7 to 9 July next week.
Once the public previews have concluded, the compact SUV will be officially launched here the following week on 13 July.

It’s said to come with a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that outputs 121PS and 145Nm of torque paired to a CVT, support for the Honda Connect telematics system, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels (for the RS model), Honda LaneWatch, and even Honda Sensing.
It’s worth noting that the WR-V will be getting a rather complete Honda Sensing advanced driver assistance systems. These include Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Auto High Beam (AHB).
The Honda WR-V is now available for booking in Malaysia at all 101 authorised Honda dealerships nationwide. Alternatively, you can also place a pre-booking of the SUV online here, or through the HondaTouch app as well – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Of course, Malaysian pricing and variants of the WR-V will be revealed come 13 July at the SUV’s local launch.
