Xiaomi 13 Ultra in Malaysia – Leica Quad Camera, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chip, RM5,199
June 20, 2023 Andrew Cheng

Just as promised, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been launched in Malaysia today. The range-topping device in the Xiaomi 13 series is a premium phone through and through with a Leica-branded quad camera system, so not surprisingly, it comes with a matching price tag.

For the Malaysian market, only one variant of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is available in Malaysia. Packed with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, the high-end flagship phone retails at a cool RM5,199. Two colour options are offered: there’s Olive Green, and a more minimalist Black.

As mentioned, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a Leica quad camera system. All four sensors are 50MP shooters, and the primary camera even features a 1-inch type sensor and a variable aperture system from f/1.9 to f/4.0. The other three 50MP sensors are a 3.2x telephoto shooter, a 5x telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide angle camera with macro support. Certainly a versatile camera setup.

Other specifications of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra include a 6.73-inch 3200 x 1440 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate – it has a bright peak brightness of 2,600 nits – a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 32MP selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and IP68 dust and water resistance.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available for pre-order in Malaysia on 23 June this Friday until 29 June. Early birds who purchase the phone in this pre-order period will get a number of freebies, including a Xiaomi Instant Photo Printer 1S Set (worth RM619), 100GB cloud storage on Google One for six months, along with a 1+1 year extended warranty.
