Vivo just launched another affordable phone in Malaysia, the Vivo Y36. Packed with a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 and support for 44W fast charging – and a rather sleek-looking design – the Y36 is a reasonably intriguing mid-ranger.

For the Malaysian market, the Y36 is offered in a sole 8GB + 256GB configuration for RM1,099. Offered in two colour options (Semporna Green and Mystic Black) early birds can get freebies worth RM298, including an extra year of extended warranty and a pair of Vivo wireless earbuds.

As mentioned, the Y36 is powered by a Dimensity 6020 chipset. It also has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging, which allows the phone to be charged up to 50% in 30 minutes. Other specifications of the Y36 include a a 6.64-inch 1080p display, a dual camera system (50MP primary + 2MP bokeh), a 16MP selfie camera, and Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The Vivo Y36 is now available for purchase in Malaysia for RM1,099. As mentioned, early birds can get freebies worth RM298, and some retailers – such as DirectD – is even offering a hotel voucher worth up to RM500.
