Unveiled back in April 2023, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is finally coming to Malaysia. As the range-topping device in the Xiaomi 13 series, the Ultra features some impressive camera hardware. Leica branding aside, the flagship phone’s quad camera system is also made up of four 50MP lenses.
In fact, the primary camera of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra even features a 1-inch type sensor and a variable aperture system from f/1.9 to f/4.0. The other three 50MP sensors are a 3.2x telephoto shooter, a 5x telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide angle camera with macro support. Certainly a versatile camera setup.
Other specifications of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra include a 6.73-inch 3200 x 1440 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate – it has a bright peak brightness of 2,600 nits – a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, a 32MP selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and IP68 dust and water resistance.
More details on the Malaysian availability of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be revealed come 20 June next week. Of course, local pricing of the flagship phone has not been detailed yet, though in China, the 13 Ultra starts from 5,999 Chinese yuan, which comes up to about RM3,880. We’ll find out next week if the Malaysian pricing will be similar to this price tag.
