Nvidia’s GeForce Now is officially available in Malaysia with Yes 5G. Although the cloud gaming service has been offered here through the telco since April 2023, today’s event marks the official launch of the service on our shores, as we were told by a Yes 5G representative.
Anyway, GeForce Now for the Malaysian market has two distinct plans: the monthly subscription costs RM50/month, while the annual plan is RM500/year. However, if you’re a Yes user, you can get the monthly and annual plans for only RM30/month and RM300/year respectively; pretty hefty discounts.
We tried out GeForce Now for ourselves at the launch roadshow in The Starhill Bukit Bintang with the Yes Wireless Fibre 5G, and it works quite well. Latency is one of the main concerns with cloud gaming services like GeForce Now, and we’re happy to report that this was not an issue while we were streaming Ghostrunner.
If you want to sign up for GeForce Now, you can do so over here. You can also give the cloud gaming service a try for yourself at the aforementioned roadshow in The Starhill Bukit Bintang. It’s taking place right now from 10AM to 10PM until 11 June 2023 this Sunday.
