Honkai: Star Rail Comes to PS5 in Q4 2023 – No PS4 Version (Yet?)

At the Summer Game Fest 2023, Hoyoverse dropped a new trailer for Honkai: Star Rail. Not only does the video showcase Luka’s gameplay – a new 4-star character expected to arrive in the next version update – it also revealed the availability of the game on the PlayStation 5.

As the video below shows, Star Rail will launch on PS5 sometime in Q4 2023. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of a PS4 version, though it’s entirely possible the game will arrive on the console sometime in the future. After all, Hoyoverse said that Star Rail will be made available on the PlayStation platform, not just the PS5 specifically.

Anyway, PS5 launch window of Star Rail aside, Luka is also shown off in the video trailer. He’s a 4-star character who deals physical damage, and given that the 4-star Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat Light Cone features his artwork, he is likely a Nihility unit.

To recap, Honkai: Star Rail is expected to be available on PS5 sometime in Q4 2023, so that’s between October to December this year. As for the next version update of Star Rail – which is when Luka, Kafka, and Blade are expected to be playable – it should drop sometime in July.
