Back at Computex 2023 last week, Acer confirmed that the Acerpure Aqua 3-in-1 water purifier is coming to Malaysia. Fast forward to today, we now have an official launch date: the sleek-looking water purifier will be launched on our shores next week on 15 June.
While the local launch of the Acerpure Aqua is taking place next week, the product page of the water purifier is actually live already on Acer Malaysia’s official website. It is listed at RM3,599, which is slightly lower than the 24,800 TWD (about RM3,725) price tag of the Aqua in Taiwan.
However, it is possible this price is merely a placeholder until the Aqua is launched here on 15 June.
Anyway, one of the advantages of the Acerpure Aqua – though it also depends on the user – is the fact that no piping is required to install it. The water purifier draws water from an 8.7L two-sided water tank, which is then filtered with a four-step filtration system.
To show just how effective the Aqua’s filtration system is at its booth in Computex 2023, Acer actually used black tea as the water source. The purified tea looks just like water, which is pretty darn impressive.
Of course, the Acerpure Aqua’s filters can be easily replaced by users too. What we also like about the water purifier – aside from the fact that we can see the filtered water through the see-through window – is the fact that we can set the water to a specific temperature. This ranges from as low as 10°C to 95°C.
To recap, the Acerpure Aqua will be launched in Malaysia next week on 15 June. We’ll find out then if the RM3,599 price tag is just a placeholder or the actual pricing of the water purifier.
