Honkai: Star Rail Jing Yuan Banner Arrives 17 May With Tingyun, Sushang, March 7th
May 16, 2023 Andrew Cheng

The second phase of Honkai: Star Rail‘s event warp for Version 1.0 of the game has been revealed! Set to drop tomorrow on 17 May, the banner will feature none other than Jing Yuan, and his event warp includes Tingyun – a very sought-after 4-star character – Sushang, and March 7th.

Not surprisingly, the increased “drop rate” of these featured characters in Star Rail share the same rules as Genshin Impact. In the case of Jing Yuan, the first 5-star character you get will have a 50% chance to be him. If you got a different 5-star unit, the next 5-star character you roll is guaranteed to be Jing Yuan.

Since Star Rail’s pity system for character banners ensures that you will get at least one 5-star character every 90 warps – again, similar to Genshin – you will have to do 180 rolls for a guaranteed Jing Yuan. This rule is also applicable to 4-star characters (guaranteed every 10-roll instead), but given that there are three of them featured in the banner, it’s a little bit more random.

Basically, when you’re guaranteed a 4-star character from the banner, you will get either Tingyun, Sushang, or March 7th. If you’re aiming to get either one of these three characters, you will likely have to roll a good number of times, depending on your luck.

Jing Yuan’s “Swirl of Heavenly Spear” event warp will be available in Honkai: Star Rail tomorrow on 17 May at 6PM Malaysian time. His banner will be offered until 6 June, and we can expect the Version 1.1 update of Star Rail to be released not long after that.
