It looks like Nothing is gearing up to launch a successor to the Nothing Phone 1. Dubbed Nothing Phone 2 (naturally), the upcoming phone is said to be a “premium move,” and it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset.
That is quite a change over the Snapdragon 778G+ chip used in the Nothing Phone 1, though the Nothing Phone 2 won’t be using the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Instead, it’s believed that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset instead; still a very capable chip, of course.
As the teaser above shows, the Nothing Phone 2 is retaining the see-through design of its predecessor. It’s becoming the brand’s signature design language, so it only makes sense for the new phone to continue offering this feature as a unique appeal.
The Nothing Phone 2 is set to be launched sometime in summer 2023, which is between June to September. With that in mind, it’s entirely possible Nothing’s new smartphone will arrive as early as next month, though we reckon it will make its debut sometime in July instead, just like the Nothing Phone 1 last year.
