BMW CE 04 Electric Scooter Costs RM59,500 in Malaysia
May 3, 2023 Andrew Cheng

The BMW CE 04 was teased for the Malaysian market earlier this year, and today, the local pricing of the electric scooter has finally been revealed. One of the main selling points of the CE 04 is its sleek-looking futuristic design, not to mention pretty respectable performance.

For the Malaysian market, the CE 04 is priced at RM59,500 on-the-road without insurance; it also comes with a 3-year warranty and 3-year roadside assistance. BMW group also offers a financing plan for the CE 04, which starts at RM728 per month based on the Balloon Financing estimates of an 80% loan on a 4-year tenure.

Touted as an electric scooter for city riding, the CE 04 is quite a fast vehicle, though it does have relatively limited range of up to 130km from a 8.9kWh battery. Nonetheless, the scooter’s electric motor can output 42PS and 62Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0-50kmph in only 2.6 seconds. It also has a top speed of 120kmph (electronically limited).

As for charging time, the CE 04 can be charged from 0-80% in 1 hour and 5 minutes with a 6.9kW AC charger. If it’s charged with a slower 2.3kW AC charger instead, it takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to get to the same level of charge.

To recap, the BMW CE 04 is priced at RM59,500 in Malaysia, which is quite a bit lower than the asking prices of the electric scooter in other markets, thanks to tax exemptions given to EVs on our shores.
