Originally set to be available in Malaysia at the end of April 2023, the Garmin Forerunner 965 can now be purchased locally. One of the biggest upgrades to the smartwatch – believe it or not – is the addition of an always-on AMOLED display.

For the Malaysian market, the Forerunner 965 retails at a cool RM2,970. Three colour options are available: Amp Yellow (shown below), Whitestone, and a more minimalist Black. Regardless of which colourway you get, all of them feature a silicone strap with a lightweight titanium bezel.

As is name suggests, the Forerunner 965 is a running-focused smartwatch. It offers up to 23 days of battery life in smartwatch mode – it goes down to 31 hours in GPS mode – training metrics with recovery insights, built-in maps, multi-band GPS, as well as support for push notifications, naturally.

The Garmin Forerunner 965 is now available for purchase in Malaysia through Garmin’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada. While RM2,970 is quite a bit of money for a smartwatch, that’s how much you have to pay for a GPS smartwatch catered to serious runners.
