Launched in China just last month, the Huawei P60 Pro is set to be launched here in Malaysia in the next couple of weeks on 11 May. It’s said to be launched alongside a “flagship product,” which could be hinting at the Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone.
The local launch date of the P60 Pro was revealed by Huawei itself on the registration page for the Malaysia preview of the flagship smartphone as seen below. The company is also running a contest to invite 10 winners to the local launch of the new device.
Hardware wise, the P60 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G chip. It also features a 6.67-inch 2700 x 1220 OLED panel with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (48MP primary + 13MP ultra-wide + 48MP telephoto), a 13MP selfie shooter, a 4,815mAh battery, and an IP68 rating.
As for the Mate X3, it also has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G processor, along with a 120Hz 7.85-inch 2496 × 2224 inner OLED display, a 6.4-inch 1080p OLED cover screen (also set at 120Hz), a triple camera system (50MP main + 13MP ultra-wide + 12MP periscope telephoto), an 8MP selfie camera, a 4,800mAh (standard model) or 5,060mAh (Collector’s Edition) battery, as well as an IPX8 rating.
To recap, the Huawei P60 Pro is set to be launched in Malaysia on 11 May, and it will likely be launched alongside the Huawei Mate X3. The local pricing of the two flagship phones should be revealed then too.
