Aside from the compact Triton 14, Acer also introduced the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 today. Touted as a value for money gaming laptop, the Neo 16 also has a unique-looking lid with “laser-etched encrypted codes” with a hidden message of sorts.
Not surprisingly, the Predator Helios Neo 16 can be configured with a 13th gen Intel Core HX processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, so it should be a reasonably capable gaming laptop. It can also be packed with 32GB of dual-channel DDR5 4800MHz RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe SSD in Raid 0 configuration.
In the display department, the Helios Neo 16 features a couple of screen options. There’s a 2560 x 1600 IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate, or a more modest 1920 x 1200 screen with the same refresh rate. Both panel options support Nvidia Advanced Optimus and G-Sync.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is set to be available in Malaysia sometime in May next month. Of course, local pricing of the gaming laptop has not been revealed yet, though it starts at $1,199 in North America – that comes up to about RM5,320.
