Vivo V27 Lands in Malaysia – Colour-Changing Design, Dual Curved 120Hz Display, From RM1,799
March 30, 2023 Andrew Cheng

The Vivo V27 has just been launched in Malaysia. Sporting a unique colour-changing design – somewhat of a signature feature for the Chinese company’s V series – and a reasonably fast 120Hz dual curved display, the V27 is quite a sleek-looking mid-range phone.

Two variants of the V27 are offered in Malaysia. The base model with 8GB of RAM retails at RM1,799, while the higher-end configuration with 12GB RAM goes for RM1,999. Both models feature 256GB of internal storage, and as many as three colour options are available: Emerald Green – the model you see here with a colour-changing back panel – Flowing Gold, and Noble Black.

The design of the V27 is certainly one of its most appealing features, in our opinion. Not only does the Emerald Green colourway changes colour depending on the source of light – from a light shade of green to a darker one – it also has a rather unique-looking pattern that mimics the veins of jade gemstones.

Other specifications of the V27 include a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, a 6.78-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro), a 50MP selfie camera, and a 4,600mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.

According to Vivo, those who purchase the Vivo V27 between 1 April to 1 May can get freebies worth up to RM957, including a one-year extended warranty, a one-year screen protection, and an exclusive gift box. To recap, the V27 retails at RM1,799 and RM1,999 for the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models respectively in Malaysia.
