The Redmi Note 12 series is set to arrive in Malaysia next week on 5 April. Touted as the “mid-range king,” the upcoming phone does sport a number of intriguing features, including a 200MP camera, a 120Hz display, and even 120W fast charging.
This feature set is certainly a reference to the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Complementing the aforementioned 200MP main camera is an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP macro lens. As for the display, it’s a 6.67-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Other specifications of the Note 12 Pro+ include a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, a 16MP selfie camera, and a 4,980mAh battery with support for 120W HyperCharge. According to Xiaomi, the phone can be fully charged in only 19 minutes, and of course, a 120W charger is also provided in the box.
It’s pretty much confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will be launched in Malaysia, and it will likely be joined by the standard Redmi Note 12 as well; we spotted that phone in SIRIM’s database late last year. We’ll find out for ourselves what other devices under the Redmi Note 12 series will be available here come 5 April at 7PM on Xiaomi Malaysia’s Facebook page.
