FreeYond Enters Malaysian Market With 2 New Affordable Smartphones From RM399

FreeYond, a company based in Shenzhen, China, has just made its debut in Malaysia. It’s entering the local market with five new products, including two budget-oriented smartphones: the FreeYond M5 and FreeYond F9.

Let’s start with the higher-end phone of the two, the FreeYond M5. It comes with a 6.52-inch 720p IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T606 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro), an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging.

As for the FreeYond F9, it features a 6.52-inch 1600 x 720 IPS display, a Unisoc SC9863A processor paired with up to 3GB RAM and 128GB storage, a dual camera array (13MP main + 2MP macro), an 8MP selfie shooter, as well as a 5,000mAh battery.

The FreeYond F9 and FreeYond M5 will be available for purchase in Malaysia by the end of March 2023 this month. Two variants of the F9 are offered: the 3GB + 128GB model is priced at RM499, while the 2GB + 64GB configuration costs RM399. The FreeYond M5, on the other hand, carries a RM699 price tag.
