Samsung just added two new devices to its Galaxy A series, the Samsung Galaxy A54 and the more affordable Galaxy A34. Both devices now sport brighter displays and IP67 water resistance, which is (still) quite a rare feature in this segment – even some flagship phones don’t have this rating.

Let’s start with the higher-end phone of the two, the Galaxy A54. It features a Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage, a 6.4-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro), a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

As for the Galaxy A34, it’s powered by a more modest MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage. It also comes with a 6.6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro), a 13MP selfie camera, as well as a 5,000mAh battery.

The new Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 will be launched in Malaysia next week on 24 March. As for colour options, both phones are available in Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Violet, though the Awesome White and Awesome Silver colourways are only available for the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 respectively.
