FreeYond, a company based in Shenzhen, China, is set to enter the Malaysian market on 21 March. According to a press release sent by the brand, it will be introducing as many as five different products locally next week, including smartphones, smartwatches, and a pair of wireless earbuds.
Let’s start with the two smartphones FreeYond is bringing into Malaysia, the FreeYond M5 and F9. Of the two, the M5 is the better-equipped phone with a 6.52-inch 720p IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T606 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro), an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging.
As for the FreeYond F9, it features a Unisoc SC9863A processor paired with up to 3GB RAM and 128GB storage, a dual camera array (13MP main + 2MP macro), an 8MP selfie shooter, as well as a 5,000mAh battery.



Next, there’s the FreeYond Pods 1 wireless earbuds. It promises up to six hours of use on a single charge – for a combined battery life of up to 30 hours with the charging case – a 12mm “bass enhancement unit,” and an IPX4 rating. As for the Watch F1 and S1, no details on these two smartwatches have been revealed yet.
We’ll find out more about these FreeYond products once they are officially introduced next week on 21 March. Looking at their respective spec sheets, these products should be affordable, so they may be worth considering for folks on a tight budget.
