Nothing is set to launch the successor to its original Ear 1 on 22 March. Aptly dubbed Nothing Ear 2, the second generation wireless earbuds (naturally) promise better audio quality, and we have good reason to believe that Malaysia will be one of the first markets to get the Ear 2.
As usual, we looked through SIRIM’s database to see if there’s anything interest, and sure enough, an unidentified pair of Nothing wireless earbuds were certified by SIRIM last month on 14 February. Carrying the model number B155, we believe this is the Nothing Ear 2.
It’s worth noting that B157 is the model number for the Nothing Ear Stick, so it’s likely B155 is a reference to the Ear 2. After all, it’s the only Nothing product that will be launched in the near future. Looking at the teaser image above, it looks to retain the same transparent design language too.
Compared to the original Ear 1, the Nothing Ear 2 promises better sound, clarity, and overall, “just better,” as the company puts it. We’ll find out for ourselves just what are the improvements once it is unveiled on 22 March – you can also register your interest for the Ear 2 right here.
