Oppo just introduced a new affordable phone in Malaysia, the Oppo A78 5G. Sporting a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, the mid-ranger offers reasonably good value for money too.

Only one variant of the A78 5G is available in Malaysia. Sporting 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, it is priced at RM1,099. Two colour options are offered: Glowing Black, and a striking Glowing Purple colourway.

For that kind of money, the A78 features a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, a 6.56-inch 1612 x 720 display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a dual camera system (50MP primary + 2MP monochrome), an 8MP selfie camera, and ColorOS 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.

The Oppo A78 5G will be available for purchase in Malaysia from tomorrow onwards on 14 January. To recap, it retails at RM1,099, and those who buy the phone from an Oppo brand Store will also get an Oppo Band worth RM159 for free.
