Hoyoverse Reminds Genshin Impact Players to Be Wary of Third-Party Sites for Account Security
January 10, 2023 Andrew Cheng

Account security has always been an issue in the online gaming community, and Hoyoverse is reminding Genshin Impact players to be wary of certain actions that could compromise their account security. These include logging into phishing websites, account sharing, and using third-party plugins.

According to Hoyoverse, Genshin Impact players who had their accounts compromised have logged into third-party websites and applications from unknown sources. If you’ve done either of these, it’s best to change your password immediately to avoid losing access to your account.

It’s also good practice to not trust websites or platforms that offer free Primogems or “farming services,” which is widely available, surprisingly enough. Letting another party log into your Genshin Impact account, with permissions or not, can compromise account security.

Genshin Impact players with any concerns on the security of their accounts can get in touch with Hoyoverse through the Hoyolab app. Alternatively, the customer service team can also be reached via email at [email protected].
