There’s a slew of announcements today at The Game Awards 2022, and one of them is Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. Set to arrive next year on 19 April 2023 only for the PS5 – sorry PS4 owners – the new DLC will see Aloy travel to…Hollywood.
The trailer below gives us a glimpse of the Burning Shores DLC, though no specific story details were revealed. There is, however, a giant machine awakening towards the end of the video, which looks to be the main threat in the new DLC.
Unfortunately, the Burning Shores DLC will only be available on the PS5. “To achieve this grand vision technically and creatively, we’ve made the difficult decision to focus all our efforts on making an incredible experience exclusively for the PlayStation 5 console,” said the game director of Guerrilla, Mathijs de Jonge.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores will arrive on PS5 next year on 19 April 2023. Beyond a new area for players to explore, the DLC also continues the main storyline of the game, along with the addition of new characters.
