Just last month, Huawei launched its latest flagship smartphone on our shores, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro. Today, the company is introducing a new Kunlun Glass Edition of the premium phone, which features a very durable Kunlun glass that’s “resistant to any scratches and drops,” as Huawei puts it.
Only one variant of the Mate 50 Pro Kunlun Glass Edition is available in Malaysia. Priced at RM4,899, it features 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Two colours are available: Carbon Black Vegan Leather and…Silver.

For that kind of money, the Mate 50 Pro features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, though it doesn’t feature 5G capability. It also has a triple camera system made up of a 50MP primary sensor with variable aperture (f/1.4 to f/4.0), a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP telephoto camera.
Other specifications of the Mate 50 Pro include a 6.74-inch 2616 x 1212 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 13MP selfie camera, a 4,700mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging, an IP68 water and dust resistance, and EMUI 13 out of the box.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro Kunlun Glass Edition will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 10 December onwards for RM4,899. Early birds can also get free gifts worth up to RM300, along with a one-year extended warranty and an additional three-month warranty for the glass itself.
