Perodua shared its sales performance for the first 10 months of 2022, and it is looking great for the national carmaker. Between January to October this year, the company sold a very respectable 222,203 cars – that’s a huge 51.2% improvement compared to the same period last year.
Earlier this year, Perodua set a 247,800 sales target for 2022. Looking at its sales performance so far, the carmaker looks on track to achieve that figure, and then some. After all, in October 2022 alone, Perodua sold 25,849 units, with the Bezza in the lead (6,768 units sold), followed by the Myvi (6,130) and Axia (4,989).
“Looking ahead, we plan to further increase our production and sales volume as we try to go beyond our earlier set sales target for 2022 and by doing so will reduce the waiting period for our customers,” said the president and CEO of Perodua, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.
It’s also worth noting that Perodua manufactured 22,974 units in October last month, bringing the total number of vehicles produced by the carmaker to 229,811 units in 2022 so far. Evidently, Perodua is doing its best to meet demand for its range of models.
