You may have not heard of Pico before, but there’s a good chance you’re familiar with ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok. ByteDance acquired Pico last year, and the Pico 4 is the brand’s newest virtual reality headset – it’s quite affordable too.
Two variants of the Pico 4 are offered in Malaysia. The base model with 128GB of storage is priced at RM1,699, while the 256GB version costs RM1,999. Those who purchase either variants by 16 October can enjoy a RM100 discount, bringing down the starting price of the VR headset to RM1,599.
Oh, those who purchase the Pico 4 by 31 January 2023 will also get four VR games for free, including All-in-One Sports VR, Down The Rabbit Hole, OhShape, and After The Fall.

Given its (reasonably) affordable price tag, the Pico 4 is ideal for those who are new to standalone VR headsets. Sporting a sharp 4320 x 2160 display – 2160 x 2160 for each eye – it should be able to offer an immersive VR experience. On top of that, the panel has a refresh rate of up to 90Hz as well.
Other specifications of the Pico 4 include a Qualcomm XR2 chipset, 8GB of RAM, a 105-degree field of view, motorised inter-pupillary distance adjustment – so that different users can get the best viewing experience – built-in speakers, and a 5,300mAh battery that promises up to three hours of use.

The Pico 4 is now available for purchase in Malaysia through Shopee, Lazada, and even TikTok Shop. The standalone VR headset will start shipping to buyers this Friday on 14 October. If you want to give the Pico 4 a try, you can do so in Sunway Pyramid at the Orange Concourse from 13 to 16 October.
