The Apple App Store will see a price increase in several markets from today onwards. These include territories that use the euro currency, Japan, South Korea, and even here in Malaysia – the price increase will affect both apps and in-app purchases on the App Store.
According to Apple, the App Store price increase will go into effect as early as today, so it may take some time for developers to implement the change. Hoyoverse, for one, already confirmed the price increase for Genshin Impact, though the developer mentioned that the in-game store may not reflect the new prices yet.

With that in mind, the new prices for Genshin Impact’s in-app purchases on the App Store for the Malaysian market have not been revealed yet. We checked the price of the Blessing of the Welkin Moon, for example, which is still RM19.90 at the moment. We even purchased it to make sure we’re paying the price displayed.
While it is unfortunate the Apple App Store sees a price increase in Malaysia, it’s likely caused by the weakening Ringgit. Nonetheless, in the case of Genshin Impact, at least other platforms do not see a price hike – not yet, at least.
