October 4, 2022 Andrew Cheng

It appears Apple is working to launch its latest smartwatches in Malaysia very soon. The Apple Watch Ultra, Series 8, and the new SE have just been registered with local certification body SIRIM, which suggests that the three smartwatches will be available on our shores in the near future.

The Apple Watch Ultra was actually registered with SIRIM last week on 30 September. The Series 8 and SE, on the other hand, just appeared in the certification body’s database today on 4 October. Aside from that, the Apple Watch dock and charger have also been registered with SIRIM.

All electronics officially sold in Malaysia have to go through SIRIM first, so chances are, Apple’s latest smartwatches will be available for purchase on our shores very soon. Right now, only the retail prices of the three products have been unveiled for the Malaysian market.

Speaking of which, the new Apple Watch SE is the most affordable model with a RM1,199 starting price in Malaysia. The Apple Watch Series 8, on the other hand, retails from RM1,899. As for the range-topping Apple Watch Ultra, it goes for RM3,799.
